To ensure comfortable seating, it’s best to allow around 10 cm of extra space per chair. In other words, plan for a seating width of roughly 60 to 75 cm per person. Based on this, you can follow these general guidelines:

If the table is placed against a wall or fence and you only need to pass behind it to sit down, around 80 cm will be sufficient. This way, your terrace will remain both spacious and inviting.
